An invitation to the Fifth SFL (School of Foreign Languages) International Young Scholars Forum, SJTU (Shanghai Jiao Tong University)

The Fifth SFL International Young Scholars Forum is organized for worldwide outstanding young scholars in language studies, literature, translation studies and related fields, aiming to establish a high-level communication platform for outstanding young scholars by arranging special reports and seminars, and to build a bridge between SFL and outstanding young scholars who are interested in joining SFL in order to further boost the development of SFL.

Schedule

Time: Mid-to-late November, 2024

Location: Minhang Campus, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Minhang District, Shanghai, China

The forum will be held in accordance with 2024 SJTU International Young Scholars Forum, with SJTU hosting the main forum and SFL the sub-forum. The sub-forum is right the Fifth SFL International Young Scholars Forum, which will be held on-site and online.

Basic Requirements

With a doctorate or post-doctoral research experience, an applicant should be younger than 40 years old in general, and have promising achievements in research frontiers or great potentials in universities or institutions worldwide.

Fields of Study

Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Literature, Translation Studies, Comparative Literature and Cross-Cultural Studies, International and Regional Studies, etc.
